Regarding transfer due to expiry of iqama

I want suggestion from my fellow brothers that I came to Saudi Arabia for first time seven months ago. My company failed to to update my IQAMA for last two months and they are telling that its due to wrong name give in my medical insurance, unless there is correction in my isurance they will not be able to update my IQAMA. In this situation can i take transfer to another company without consent of my present employer?

May I suggest you approach the HRSD at HRSD (www.hsrd.gov.sa)? The ability to read Arabic is mandatory.


You can also make a booking with HRSD through the QIWA app, provided you have a contract.


However, this matter can be sorted by your employer, he needs to write a letter to the Medical Service Provider requesting a name change on the Policy to align with your legal documents.


Unfortunately, you are unable to transfer to another company as your iqama is still not finalised and you are basically in Limbo.
