Return after more than 6 months

Dear Members / experts

I was in Bahrain and have a valid CPR and Residence Visa. My Residence Visa is valid till july 2026.

In Sept 2025 i had to travel out of bahrain to India for family medical reasons and am planning to come back in March . Due to no flights and no clarity when it will open, it will be more than 6 months leave from now.

I would like to know if there any requirements from immigration on this or i can stay out of bahrain as long as my residence visa is valid.

No other formalities are required. You may travel anytime while the visa remains valid. Even if the visa is close to its expiry, you are permitted to enter the country up to the last valid day of the visa.

In case you are unable to travel before the visa expires, your sponsor in Bahrain may proceed with renewing the residence permit without your physical presence, subject to their approval.
