Leaving tenancy

Good evening,

We are leaving our tenancy early in June, it is due to expire in December. The landlord agreed to us leaving back in February, via text to my wife. I have informed him that we are leaving and therefore taking him up on the agreement, yet I have not heard back from him in over a week. I am just concerned about him:

going back on his word

wanting all the rent

enacting a travel ban


any advice most appreciated

Forget travel ban. It's not easy to apply.


Document everything via email. And check your contract for a diplomatic clause ie if you leave Bahrain, you can terminate contract with one month notice rent.
