Although some people do speak English, you will also need to speak and write at least one of the official languages of Switzerland to at least level B2, which are:

  1. Swiss German,
  2. French,
  3. Italian,
  4. Romansh.

Do you speak any of them?

You will also need to make sure that any of your qualifications are recognised in Switzerland.

While no formal license is required to be a general property consultant in Switzerland, qualifications can be obtained through vocational training, professional exams, or a university degree. Nearly all professionals pursue certifications like the "Real Estate Manager (BP)" or a Federal Diploma of Higher Education to gain specialised knowledge in areas like valuation, marketing, and management. Specific roles, such as rental agents and agricultural property agents, require a license.
