beibitovasya

What documents, steps, and key contacts are required to obtain Portuguese citizenship for my newborn child (in 2 months), followed by family reunification for our family? Thanks for any help)

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Based on what you've said, I'm not sure that you can.  The Portuguese government have a website on the subject, this link will take you straight to it.  Scroll down to "Children born in Portugal to foreigners parents".

I hope I'm wrong and somebody comes along with some factual experience.

@beibitovasya,

As @Cynic have said, being born in Portugal is not a guarantee of a straight forward citizenship.

Thank you)

My husband and I lived for less than 5 years. In this case, can the baby still get the citizen card (not the parents)/ Portuguese citizenship?

That information was given in the links provided above ....

Nationality is granted to your baby, if your baby acumulatively meet the following requirements:

a) Has been born in Portuguese territory; ok, check

b) Parents were resident here at the time of the birth;  check?

c) Parents must have resided here for at least five years. Not check yet.
