Trondheim or Stavanger

Hi !

I'm considering moving from Trondheim to Stavanger and need your opinion.

I have been living in Trondheim for 3 years now. They city was fun when I was a student. however, now, I find it not suitable for me. It's very dependent in students! in summer and holidays it's a ghost city !

any of you lived in both cities? what do you like/dislike in Stavanger?

Hello,

I lived in Haugesund, just north of Stavanger for a while, so I visited Stavanger a few times. I must say that I didn't like it. It was so quite when I was there, and didn't feel like a city to me. I was also unimpressed with restaurants and general cultural offering. I may have misjudged it though. I have friends who live there who absolutely love it. It is very expensive though. The oil industry and bad housing policy decisions has led to sky high house prices and rents.

I would definitely prefer Oslo or even Bergen to Stavanger. They are much better cities in my opinion. At least they are places one could consider calling cities.
