My dear friend - your soul is not suffering, - all suffering is due to "Prarabdha Karma". Our Prarabdha Karma is the build up of Karma (Good/Bad) over previous lives which then manifest itself after each life.

Gautama Buddha, Jesus, Prophet Mohammad all underwent innummerable sufferings in their lifetime and then they became enlightened souls.

We need to burn away bad Karma and only engulge in good, then eventually all the bad will be paid back and more and more good happens.

Listen to a good song, it's called " Krishna I am Missing you- where are you", on Youtube.

There is also a great site to read about Prarabdha Karma

The Northern Lights you can visit when you have become more acceptance of material life - because mental suffering does not follow physical suffering - mental suffering is only when we do not accept what have happened to us and ask " Why me?"

I tell you, before we were born, each single event in our life - be it illness, assault, torture, accidents anything was written on a piece of sandcorn and is bound to materialize in our life...

As much as you firmly believe in something I would consider other people's feelings too. Talking about religion is normally done with few intimates, at least for me.
Depending on one's mindset such a reasoning can have very different effects from my experience, that's why I avoid it altogheter :)
