Giving birth at home with a midwife

IΒ΄m wondering if any of you could guide me , IΒ΄m planning on having a home birth if medically possible.

Anyone here knows about home birth care in Malta? I appreciate any guidance in the matter.
Thanks!

Due to covid, I don’t think this is possible at the moment.
Thank you but just you dont think it s possi le...maybe you have some advices about some good midwives?
If we are thinking with the actually situation it s less risk for me and the baby at home that on the hospital πŸ˜… but i dont care the covid now i have more preoccupation in my head about the childbirth 😊
I just want to know if on Malta the home birth it s possible or if i have the obligation to go to the hospital....
Home birth is possible with midwife support, this is trivially verfiied on Google.

Suggest you contact a private service rather than mater dei.

Why not ask your GP?

It was not made clear that you were not living here, if your husband is here why can’t he find the
information you require as you are unlikely to find it here.
I agree with an earlier reply that because of the virus you may not be able to have a home birth.

Stay at home, give birth, then when safe to travel to do so.

Talk with St James Hospital - there is only 1 or 2 Doctors and Midwives who does this service in Malta and they might not want to do it now. Several midwife related services are currently just outright cancelled as those staff have been co-opted into tracing covid cases. In general, its quite a niche thing here though

You can also ask St Anne's Clinic who has a really good dr who would know these things. You can private message me for her name.
