Hi,

there are several websites with Maltese recipes. For example

try:

http://www.sbs.com.au/food/cuisineindex … ineMain/14

and the very easy snack for hot days- hobz biz-zejt.

Other typical dishes are soppa tal-armla and bragioli.

For more recipes just Google 'Maltese recipes'

There is also a very nice  booklet with Maltese

recipes in bookstores.

Enjoy

Hi Ricky,  thanks loads for replying.  I have seen recipe books but as with other thing, ie spanish cooking, its not always truly traditional so thought I'd pick the brains of those in the know.  hehe

hobz biz-zejt. - OMG  I could live on these.  I have had my mother smuggle these back in her suitcase on trips.  Particularly those from the Tower in Sliema....  hhmmm.  OK,  now I'm dribbling.

One of my other favourites is the bakery on the main road to Melliah, (is the huge wooden police bobby still there?) their pizza and pastries are heavenly.

OH Jeez,  I want to be there now.....
