We have used it a few times and it works. Not the fastest or cheapest but you don't pay until it arrives!

It does depend on size, weight etc. and sometimes ebay is cheaper.

I use Sendon but depending on several things such as the size/weight, the country, the day I expect the item to be delivered to the foreign warehouse... I use some alternative service. I had no problem with Sendon (nor with any other alternative service) yet. You have other alternatives here:
