Do you  own the flat or are you renting?
Are you talking about having the bills in your name or physically having the services connected from the street into your flat?

Are these the forms that you used when you applied?

Hi Terry, I am renting the flat. I am not sure if that's the form my landlord filled up but I supposed. Yea, would you know how long does it takes to connect utilities from the street to the flat?

Toon

at best a week to a couple of weeks - depending on what the landlord completed - did you sign the forms as well or not - if not it may not be the forms we think it is and as such at worst it could be a month or more or more again - - to be honest it would helpm if we knew exactly what form he filled in. was it the change of consumer numbers or was it the formal first supply to the property you live in.  ??????

If you are renting then it is up to the owner to get the water and electric connected. If there are already people in some of the flats then it should be just a matter of a local connection to your flat. Push your landlord as I doubt that ARMS will listen to you. Also as Toon has said now is the time to ensure that the bills are in your name ( or you are at least registered).

I've never heard of a tenant having to sort out connection for utilities

Chin.ccc2

I would say is the first formal apply to that particular flat that I am going to live in!

but even so, its up to the landlord to sort it out - its his property

I know..but I am due to move in soon and I am worried what if everything still pending?

Toon

if it isnt ready with water and electricity you probably cant or wont want to move in... have you a contingency plan?
