Some questions regarding living/working here

MattM

I know there are a lot of such topics, but I have a few original questions :))

I've got so many diferent answers and read a lot of things, so I'd prefer if someone can answer my curious questions, that I'm not gonna be confused anymore.

Do I need my ID for the OR residency or can I show only my passport?

Can I apply for OR after three months or before, even if I move to another appartment some months later?

When I get a temp/part/full time job and contract, is my (public) health insurance covered or do I need to apply for it myself? Since I need health insurance for OR, as I read.

Can I renew the ID after I move into my own place? For now I changed two flats already and I think I'll move into one or two more in the following months...

Do I need my ID for the OR residency or can I show only my passport? - ID card not required to apply for residency - they are separate departments and can be done the same day if you want

Can I apply for OR after three months or before, even if I move to another appartment some months later? - you can apply as soon as you want

When I get a temp/part/full time job and contract, is my (public) health insurance covered or do I need to apply for it myself? if you pay social security contributions you are covered

1. Understood.
2. So it's not important, where I live?
3. I'd like to pay that. How do I do that?
4. Since I got my ID a while ago, I figured, while I merely couchsurf for so far at friends places, I'd rather renew it, when I have my own place. Same dilemma for OR.
