Any news about the cards? I called last friday and the lady told me " if you have your acknowledgement , the car will be issued" but my worry is when?  ....

Yes it does...my case was lke that...they took fingerprints of the Non -EU spouse.

...hmmm i dont know then.....my mum husband also applied as a family member of an EU citizen but they took his fingerprints...and when i asked why...they said TCN we require fingerprints....in any case i suggest that you call The dept for clarification.

Same here. My partner is non-EU(US) and fingerprints were not taken.

Her status on the receipt is : Family Member of an EU National/NON-EU

There was a long discussion on her classification between our clerk and the director about the way to process the application.

Certainly when we applied the staff did not know the correct procedure (or they had different ideas about what the correct procedure was), all down to lack of staff training.

As for fingerprinting I have no problem other than it should be for all or no one, otherwise its discrimination!

In my case they did take .... So i dont know...perhaps depend on the non EU ...dont know really...
