Recognition diploma for non european doctor

aminata2708

Hello, I am a dermatologist currently working in Saudi Arabia and I’m considering Malta for professional recognition and eventual move. Could any doctor currently practising in Malta share insights on:

    1.    how to start the registration process,

    2.    work conditions/schedule,

    3.    lifestyle and support for foreign doctors?

Thank you!

Hi,

The procedure can be found here:

https://medicalcouncil.gov.mt/en/regist … rocedures/

Applicants who hold a foreign qualification must submit a Statement of Recognition of Comparability of Qualifications issued by the Malta Qualification Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) with their applications.

You would probably be expected to speak the Maltese language to work for the Maltese government hospitals or clinic

There are some private hospitals in Malta who offer dermatologist services.

Da Vinci hospital,

or check the St James hospital careers page

There is also St Thomas hospital

I am not a doctor myself so I cannot help you with work conditions/schedule, lifestyle and support for foreign doctors, but good luck.
