Best Family Friendly Neighborhoods

Hi all. My family is going to be relocating to Malta in the next few months. Are there any neighborhoods that would suit kids better? We are looking for something on the North East side but doesn't have to be in main city like Valetta etc.

The country is like 20km big, saying "north east side" pretty. much covers one place.  Have you been here? It's very small, interesting things tend to be everywhere.
