but I thought I'd wish you good luck in Italy. I've been an expat in foreign places all my adult life, and I enjoy learning about other cultures and people and if you have an open mind (which it sounds like you have!) you will have a great time in your new country. I've been in Italy several times and love the place and who knows may end up there yet.
