Can you get Top up (Prepaid) cards in Italy?

GuestPoster1258

Hi, I am asking if anyone knows if I can get a Top up card, and keep adding cash on to it? I'm not after a Sim card, but a Card similar to a bank card. I know that Poste Italiane has a card like this, but I don't want a card from them. I am a UK Citizen. I managed (Just)! to get my residency sorted by the end of last year, but I'm still waiting for my certificate. I have a Tax code.
Thank you in advance.

Yes most banks offer a card like this.  Unicredit has the Genius card, Monte dei Paschi has the spider card.  There are also version which are nonbank cards,   satispay is one, and there are numerous others.  It depends whether it needs to be visa/maestro o not.
