hi,

i am planing to move to Italy for study this fall at university of Pavia ( city close to Milan) and hoping it is a safe place to study, Any suggestion about safety

Hey :-)
I'm actually a Med student at the university of Pavia.
It is very safe! We walk around the centre at all hours of the night and often cycle back to my house after midnight with a friend and I've never encountered any problems. Like any other city, there are occasional pick pockets e.g on the bus but that rarely happens. Just be aware of your surroundings. But its a very calm and safe town :-)
