Buying land in Iceland

Laura Rosario

Hello, me and my boyfriend are thinking about moving to Iceland but we want more of a rural life rather than the city but we also wouldn't like to be isolated. We are very serious about becoming self sufficient with agriculture and raising animals as a living but since I do not speak the language it's very hard to understand and find information about land purchasing. We wanted to know the average price for a land not too far from the capital or another city that would give us access to hospitals and supermarkets and also know about the farming community there. We both have European papers so going there and looking for a job wouldn't be a problem (I assume, since our English is very good and we're very hard-working people).

If anyone can provide us any information it would be much appreciated
