Looking for a job in the Helsinki area

Hi there,

I am an Irishman who is currently living and working full-time in Dublin but I am looking to move to the Helsinki region. My wife is working as a teacher in Finland and my son is living there too so I am seeking an opportunity to get a job there and move over so we are together as a family. I have Degree in Public Administration and a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and I am studying for a Higher Diploma in IT. I have a background of working in administration in a hospital in a highly specialised area called Clinical Coding, however, this type of work does not exist in Finnish hospitals. I am looking for work in an administrative capacity but I am willing to work in any type of area to begin with. I have worked in maintenance and as a hospital porter and I have experience working as a painter/decorator. I would be grateful if there would be anyone who would know of any places with job opportunities or could put me in touch with anyone. Failing that some good advice would be appreciated!

I have lived and studied in Finland for a number of years and I have good Finnish skills but I am not fluent.
I would like to get involved in the Irish community and make some friends and contacts too! I look forward to hearing from you!
