Hello

I am currently receiving English benefits because I was born in the UK and have a friend who wants to come to the holidays. He said he wanted me to sponsor him but my question is can I? Is this benefit viable or is it necessary?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You can sponsor your friend, but if you're on Benefits, I suspect you won't earn enough to qualify to do that. Also, these visas tend to get the most scrutiny as they are typically the kind where the applicant suddenly decides he/she can't return to their home country and become illegal.
