Morocco to UK spouse visa process
But we will do just the nikkah in Morroco i think that is not approved as a marriage in UK i mean its like we are not married and what documents to translate . Its just religious marriage not civil. Sorry i am very confused, so you think its better to apply for a spouse visa, but for that spouse visa we need to be married in Morroco, is the Islamic marriage enough or we also have to do civil marriage in Morroco. Please explain step by step. Jzk
Assalamu alaikum. I am about to apply for a UK marriage visa for my Morrocan wife. We have an official marriage certificate and she has passed her IELTs certificate. My question is, all the support documents I will collect, do I need to take this to her biometric appointment in Rabat and let them send it, or should I send this directly from the UK after she attends the appointment?
salam alaykum. I also want to marry in Morroco for my Moroccan girl. I live in Englad but not british, please tell me what documents i have to prepare from here and what from morroco. And how long does it take to get married in morroco. Thanks brother. Jzk

Wa alaykum salaam. Your wife will have to take the documents with her. They will probably reject the application otherwise as being incomplete

The nikkah in Morocco is recognised as a legal marriage in uk law. In Morocco religious marriage is also civil marriage. What the brother is saying is right, get married in Morocco then apply for spouse visa
Hi,
My wife attended her biometric appointment in Rabat today at the TLSContact visa application centre and took all our supporting documents with her. However, she was told by them that I had to send the supporting documents myself, to UKVI. They gave this address:
PO Box 3468
Sheffield
S3 8NU
However, on the TLSContact Rabat website, it mentions the following address:
Settlement Applications
International Operations and Visas
6 Millsands Vulcan House
Sheffield, United Kingdom
S3 8NH
I'm really confused with this and not sure where to send. I tried contacting UKVI but they are completely clueless and keep telling me different things. Anyone here who has applied for their spouse in Morocco, know what the correct address is?
Many thanks!
I think both the address are the same place, ones just named as P.O. Box and other full addresss. Both have same post code so must end up at same place
I'm probably being stupid here, but the post codes are different: S3 8NU and S3 8NH.
On google maps, they point to slightly different locations? This is honestly driving me crazy. Everyone has different answers!
Send them to the address they gave to your wife and don’t worry about it. Always use special delivery 1pm when sending documents to them.
If you send your application by post then you want the PO Box. If you want to send your application by courier then you'll need the physical address.
It is a bit confusing I know.
Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters,
Sorry for reviving an old thread, but alhamdulilah, my wife's spouse visa was recently accepted. I wanted to thank everyone for their help and would be happy to answer any question anyone may have.
Just to give you some idea of the most recent application process, I applied online through www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk and booked my wife's biometric appointment in Rabat (TLScontact visa application center). I did not apply with the priority service, in fact I wasn't even sure how to pay for the priority service as there was no option given to me during the online application. I can only assume that it is something that has to be done at the biometric appointment. The online application itself was very straightforward, but one thing that confused me was that at the end it told me to register at the TLScontact website (pos.tlscontact.com), but there was no facility on the website to register, the page for this is just blank with no form to fill or anything like this. I even received an email from TLScontact with instruction on how to register and track my application, but the weblink just goes to the same page with no way of registering. In any case, I still got the visa in the end, so I guess it wasn't required.
When my wife went to her appointment in Rabat she submitted a printout of the online application, visa appointment confirmation letter and passport. She also took a copy of our supporting documents (over 160 pages) but was told at the appointment that I would have to send this to UKVI myself from within the UK, despite it clearly being stated in the visa appointment confirmation email that she should bring supporting documents to the appointment. So on the same day, she posted all her original documents to me in the UK, after which I compiled everything and sent it off to UKVI.
I sent the supporting documents (e.g. certificates, payslips, relationship photos, etc) via Royal Mail special delivery. I also included an RM special delivery pre-paid envelope so that they could send my original documents back (which I did get back a few days after the passport was ready with the visa). I sent two bundles of documents, one with colour photocopies and one with the originals. I didn't put them into folders or anything, just secured with foldback bulldog clips. I sent my documents to the address given below and they received it with no issue. I was worried it was the wrong address, because the people at TLScontact gave my wife a different address to the one on their own website, but admitted that they weren't totally sure themselves. In the end, I used the address given on the TLScontact website:
Settlement Applications
International Operations and Visas
6 Millsands Vulcan House
Sheffield
S3 8NU
Unfortunately apart from seeing that the documents had been signed for (royal mail tracking), there was no sure way of knowing whether the documents had been passed on to the right department, person etc. I phoned UKVI and was told that if they didn't receive my documents, they would let me know. Thankfully, it must have found its way to the right place in the end, so I guess this address works, for now anyway.
This is my timeline of events to give you an idea of how long it took for us:
16/05/19 - Online application completed and payment of visa fee and IHS.
21/05/19 - Visa application (biometric) appointment attendend in Rabat.
24/05/19 - Supporting documents sent.
03/06/19 - Email from UKVI stating that my application has been received and is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.
02/08/19 - Email from TLScontact, stating that my wife's passport is ready for collection.
06/08/19 - Passport with visa collected. Also on the same day, I received my original documents back.
I used many websites to help with the application, including many useful youtube videos of couples who have gone through the same process. I found the following website very useful and comprehensive:
https://www.migrate.org.uk/spouse-visa-uk-2018/
I will be travelling to Morocco next week to bring my wife home. So happy and relieved. Alhamdulilah.
Hello hamdolilah for everything happy for you
Can i know what did you got exactly in the email who said that the passport is ready to be collecte i had the same steps and I'm worry how i can know if the visa approved and stamped or it's declined
Many thanks
Great advice.. i am married to my moroccan husband and want to start visa application now.
With regards to the biometrics details - where do you get that done in Morocco? my husband is in casablanca
Hi,
I am a British citizen and in the process of marrying a Moroccan girl by end of this year in Morocco. I am able to gather all the documents required for Family court proceedings in Morocco and hopefully nothing should be a problem in terms of documentation required for Family Court approval.
The celebration ceremony party will be planned at a later date when it is convenient for all families.
My question is would I need to wait to apply for UK spouse visa until the family celebration ceremony party has taken place for wedding video and images captured for proof of real marriage or can I apply for UK Spouse visa on the basis of Court Marriage certificate and pictures taken during that Family court ceremony in Morocco and in parallel prepare for the bigger family party to the wedding celebration?
This is to understand the timelines for her arrival to UK to live with me.
Could you anyone please advise?
Kindly appreciate an answer from someone who has actually gone through a similar process with their spouse while marrying a Moroccan national.
Thank you,
Wajid
Hi,
can you please tell me how you booked the bio metric appointment in Rabat (TLScontact visa application centre)? is this done when you submit the application on the VISA4UK site?
Can you tell me what actually happens at that appointment and what is needed at that appointment?
I am in the UK and going to do the application online on the visa page on my husbands behalf.
I used that migrate site as their information is very helpful as you have mentioned. But I am still unclear as to the above?
Thanks
Hi,
How do you do this part of the process?
24/05/19 - Supporting documents sent.
Also what do you need to take to the appointment in rabat to provide photo and fingerprints?
Thank you
Sorry one more question on statement from letter or friend... did you do one from both sponsor and applicant? And if you did one from Sponsor who is Arabic speaking and doesn't speak English did you translate the letter from English to Arabic?
Thanks
Salaam everyone,
I’m a British citizen and got married to my wife who is Moroccan in January and had a wedding function in April. Alhumdulillah we are expecting and the delivery date is in January. What I know so far is that baby’s passport (British) will take a minimum of 6 months up to 9 months. What I wanted to know is that to applet for my wife’s visa I would need to show that I’m earning at least £18,600, however would my child be a dependent and would I have to show a higher yearly salary? I’m looking to start the process as soon as possible. Someone told me that I will have to show £24,750 pa and others are saying that as the child is British because of you, you don’t have to show higher wages..
thanks
Hello all,
I know that this post is somewhat dated, but I was wondering if there was anyone on here that has had success in getting a spouse visa more recently in the last few years that would not mind helping me a little
