Giving birth in Copenhagen - can you choose your gynecologist?

Is there any way to choose the gynecologist that will be with you while giving birth in Denmark, maybe through a private hospital or something?

I have been looking into this myself, and the answer seems to be No. There are no private clinics specialized in childbirth either since there doesn't seem to be enough demand for it. You can however get tests and imaging done in private centers to supplement the ones done in the public sector

There is actually a private maternity clinic in Copenhagen if that is what you ask for: Fødeklinikken Maia (www.foedeklinikmaia.dk). It lies in Østerbro. But why? The hospitals all offer you a good service.
