Holiday Home in N.Cyprus

Revlon80

Hi Joe all.  I’m 55, married, and have a grown-up (ish!) family. I was born in the UK but hold dual nationality as a Turkish Cypriot—both of my parents were born in Cyprus, so I feel a strong connection to the island and its heritage.

We’re not planning a full-time move just yet, but we are seriously considering buying a villa for holidays and potentially longer stays in the future. I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences you might be willing to share, particularly around:

    •    What to look for when buying a holiday villa (e.g., location, developer reputation, resale potential)

    •    Risks involved with properties that don’t have Turkish title deeds

    •    Legal protections available to dual nationals

    •    Best areas to consider for a good mix of peace, convenience, and future value

If you’ve written about this before, feel free to point me to a blog post—I’d love to read it. Either way, your thoughts would be incredibly helpful. You deffo compete with my misses on cooking skills.
