Resident of Cyprus, Employed by foreign Company

expatfor03

Hello!

If I remember correctly, a person that:
- is a resident of Cyprus
- is employed by foreign Company
- and sent to work abroad at least 3 months per year

Is not subject to local income/social tax. Can you please share:
- if this is still correct
- what is needed to prove such status: employment contract and airplane tickets?

THANKS!

Am not sure ... As any person who is resident in Cyprus for more than 183 days is usually and  immediately tax resident..

See here https://pwc.to/2UtUoBw for details of the 60 and 183 days rules

I suggest talking to a tax specialist to be sure.. probably worth it to see if there are any concessions for your situation..
