Water purifier/filter

Hi, does anyone have any advice on the need for a water purifier/filter? I understand that you can drink the tap water but I've also read a few articles that suggest a water filter would be beneficial. I am in the process of buying a property in the Farmagusta region and was considering if a water filter would be worthwhile.

Does anyone have any experience or advice on these?

The water here is perfectly safe however the mineral content is high so may not be what you are used to.

Can't comment on filters as have never used one or felt the need for them.

The region is famous for being the red soil region and produce the best potatoes in the world imo . The potatoes dont seem to mind the water at all...lol
