Auto Expreso car transfer

Hi All! I'm new to PR and new to the blog. I'm trying to register a new AutoExpreso pass online, and it says the license plate I'm trying to register is already in the system (since it's a used car this makes sense), but I still need to figure out how to get the car with that plate under my name....Does anyone have any insight on this?

PS called AutoExpreso - going on 2 hours wait time with no human contact... I don't think any human works there...

So... on the online registration form, I switched the license plate number by a digit... and.. it worked? Will update if the PR police knock down my door, lol.

The universal way to get something done in Puerto Rico is go to the office and wait for hours until it's your turn.
If you can get anything done online or on the phone you're extremely lucky.
So I'd suggest that you bite the bullet, take a day off and visit them.
