Using DR courier services for sensitive documents

wondering9

Would you consider it safe to use a service like Domex to receive a new ATM card or credit card?

I'm assuming that Domex would be a good bet because that's who the US embassy uses. Also in my brief dealings with them they have seemed pretty professional. Anyone care to differ or confirm?

Thanks!

A lot of the couriers refuse to handle debit/credit cards, so be sure to inquire ahead of time.  I had one sent here from Canada using UPS, no issues, but that was arranged and paid for by the bank.

Good to know! But if it comes via my US- based mail forwarder, mailed in a bank envelope but not otherwise ID'd as a bank card, would there be any way they would know?

@wondering9

Envelopes are the only things I've had go missing or get delayed by months! A friend sent a Christmas card to my CPS address in Florida, and two years later, I've never seen it! Same with an envelope my parents sent with some accumulated mail. We've learned that the padded envelopes, large cardstock mailers (like priority mail), and boxes are much easier to keep track of! Not one of those has been lost or significantly delayed.

If your bank can overnight it, it will likely be in a large USPS, FedEx, or UPS mailer and that should reach you just fine!
