riactovi

I leave in Santo Domingo (3 month ago only) and I still have plenty of places to dicover in the DR. I have been said Saona Island is awesome.

I am in touch with an agency proposing the tour with transportation from Santo Domingo included: [link moderated]

Can somebody let me know how was their experience to the island?

Does somebody have already use the services of that agency?

Thank you for your answer!

Saona Island is the biggest tourist attraction in the D.R. 5000 visitors arrive daily during the high season. An armada of boats, mostly from Bayahibe Bay transport the crowds. The trip by boat past the national park provides delightful views of jungle and white sand beaches.

Some of the tourism operators stop at "The Shallows", a stretch of water off the coast that is waste deep where tourists can frolic in the sea while sipping cocktails and champagne before heading on to Saona. I advise you to book the higher priced cruise that includes cocktails on board and a private dining lunch area on Saona with private beach.....

I agree with Steverino.  We took the ”regular” tour from Bayahibe   it was fine, but your dropped at a crowded beach with buffet lines and cash bars.  Higher priced tours will take you to a quiet beach and sometimes to the only village ob the island
