We are from Canada and wonder where the best fishing places are in Belize. I would love to hear from other people interested in fishing as we will be in Belize in February.

We bought a piece of land 4 years ago in the Corozal area but have never been there. Really looking forward to finally getting down there. We visited Panama and loved it.

Sure would love to hear from anyone out there that fishes in Belize.

Hello!   I live in Corozal year round and love it...    Well, this IS my first year... Year round. 

Fishing on the New River was excellent.  Last trip out we caught eight good sized snook.  Delicious!

So you have been there for a year? That must give you mega points for where to fish!
What type of fish do you catch?
When we were in Panama we rented a boat but never caught anything other than maga sea sickness.(true story)
Where would you think the best place to venture out to fish on land would be? Would that be New River?

I have a friend with a boat so often go with him.  There are people in Corozal who net fish standing in the Bay. They seem to have very good luck.  There are also folks who line fish on the pier....  The one in front of the Sea Breeze hotel on 1st Avenue.   There are many people who sport fish.  It's all good.  Just get the word out that you enjoy fishing   That will bring all kinds of advice.  Enjoy!
