Hello. Don’t know where to begin. I’m new to the group. We fell in love with Belize and its people 3 years ago. We hope to live part of the year in Belize upon retiring in a few years, and part of the year in the states.

We purchased land in Belize app 10 years ago. Spent several years improving the property, building a small house the nadding to the house to create the home we want. We spend most of the year in the states but try to spend at least 2 months a year in Belize. Our place is in the hill country outside of the village of San Antonio, about 10 miles south of the twin cities of San Ignacio and Santa Elana. We love the rain forest, the quiet and solitude. People are great! My most important recommendation is PATIENCE! Everything will take twice as long, cost twice as much and will be twice as hard as you have anticipated. However, in the end, it will be more than worth it,
