Healthcare and insurance

followthespiritministry

Hi to all and God Bless,

I understand that Belize is can be lacking in ones needs for acute or critical care but that Mexico has outstanding facilities modernly equipped to handle just about everything.

Is there an health insurance that would cover the Belize medical facilities and also the ones in Mexico if one had need of any care that the local Belize medical establishment was not neccessarily equipped to handle?

@followthespiritministry Keep paying stateside for Fed insurance, just in case.  If you break an arm $40.  Emergency Tooth issue 7pm on a Saturday night $100.  Need a hip replacement in Guatemala $10,000.  Most medicine you can get over the counter without a prescription.  Your big issues you still need Stateside insurance will be cancer, dialysis, etc.

@ClarkForestryLLC Great insights, Clark! Compared to the US, do you see any advantages in Belize's healthcare system versus that of the US? Thank you for your insights.
