Aruba drivers license question

edbettina

When getting an Aruban drivers license 1 of the requirements is to have your US drivers license Apistilled.  Do the Apostille have to come from the state of the US drivers license.  I am told as long as it is a valid US Apostille, that is ok.

Hello edbettina,

Welcome to Expat.com 😀

Were you able to find the information you needed regarding the apostille for the driver’s license?

Cheers,

Cheryl

@Cheryl

I think so.  I spoke with a local lawyer about it.

@edbettina I saw your post. My understanding is that the State AG is typically in charge of issuing apostilles. Most of the services are just charging you to ship your documents to their agent in your state and then they walk them to the appropriate office. I had one done a long time ago and it was pretty easy as I recall. but I did it in person. If you are not in the USA then it may save money and time to use a service.
