New: Gatherings and events in Vietnam

Hi,

Would you like to have a coffee, organize a dinner or find people for activities in Vietnam?

To help you meet people and find outings in Vietnam, we launched a Gatherings and Events section in Vietnam: you can now follow whats going on in your area and make the most of your time off.

You can also create events and organize a gathering with the Expat.com members.

How to create a gathering?

On the Events in Vietnam page, click on Post an event.
Fill in the form with the details related to the gathering: date, place, hour and post your event.

Its now time to invite the other members! You can opt for a public event or a private one (Invitation or Invitation plus).

To send invites, click on Invite friends on your event page and select who you wish to invite.

Get informed of who is coming through this page and get in touch with the other members or add pictures of the events in the comments.

A photo album dedicated to the event will then be created.

Hi, you guys can go to Hoi An city in Da Nang, Việt Nam. There is a nice beach. The weather is nice also Your family could choose to stay at homestay. It would be great. I think so. I've been there before.
I live in Ha Noi. It's a little bit cold to me :-)

GATHERING
I’ve been here in HCMC for 2 months now with my young son (1yo), looking for playgroups for both of us to make friends. But there doesn’t seem to be any. So I propose to start a playgroup - parent or carer attends with child/children up to 5yo and no fees. Anyone interested in this idea, please meet at SOZO CAFÉ http://www.sozocentre.com/ , DISTRICT 2, on FRIDAY 29TH FEBRUARY at 3.30PM to agree more details. Hope to see you there, Gilly

Try the Bia Craft bar: 90 XUÂN THỦY

Some of the beer they have on tap there is just superb. Also a good mix of internationals and locals chatting there each time I have been.

Bia Craft is quite interesting ... I quaffed back a few there last night. Small, open-front street pub, simple with great ales. Try the Passion Fruit ale as a starter, then work through the list ... limited seating (and it is small) ...

Did you guys find a venue for your event?

My newest restaurant in D2 with a very nice set up maybe that a good option for your group.
