is it better to bringing liquor bottle as gift to vn or is it better or cheaper to purchase at airport duty free shop upon arrival.

It really depends on the kind of liquor you want to purchase. For mid to high ticket items, prices are about the same. For the cheap stuff, it's better to shop at a local wholesale club or warehouse IMHO.

I believe there is a 1.5 litre limit on spirits with a higher than 22% alcohol content, and a 2 litre limit on alcoholic products with a < 22% content, being brought in to Vietnam.

Would purchasing at the duty-free shop affect these limits?
