Building a house in Surin Province

Hello all,

I have read a few of the posts regarding building a house; I have been advised that certain municipalities do have building requirements, in building, renovating and demolishing.

I have read that building in some areas, no application was lodged ... I myself, did extensive renovations to my Wife's family home, tripled the size of it, over the last 8 years or so.

I have decided to live in Thailand; I find that Australia is becoming a third world country and the recent change in residency in Thailand has removed what little inconvenience there was.

As an energy efficient house designed and ex-builder, I know what I want and have various contacts in the construction industry, albeit not certified tradespeople, but more than competent.

Surin Province is the area I am looking at; a block of about 4 rai in a village within 25-kilometre range  of Surin city.  Look forward to hearing from all who have an interest. 🙏
