Do you know this girl ?

Looking for a former Police Volunteer / Translator (Chiang Mai)

Hello everyone,

At the beginning of this year, around February, I lost my bag containing my wallet and ended up with no money. When I went to the Chiang Mai Provincial Police Station to report the loss, a young Thai volunteer wearing a police uniform assisted me. As I was leaving, she kindly gave me about 3,000 Baht, which was a huge help to me at the time. I now wish to return the money to her and also share a book that I think she would appreciate, so I am trying to reconnect with her.

I am a Kiwi expat living in Nong Hoi, and she is a Thai national, around 30 years old, who speaks fluent Thai, French, and English. About 6 to 8 months ago, she was working as a volunteer/translator at the Chiang Mai Provincial Police Station. She has a very distinguishing feature: a prominent birthmark on her cheek below her eye. I have included a sketch of her below, and I am sure she is well known to locals in Chiang Mai as well as to expats.

If anyone recognises her from the local community, or if you worked with her at the station, could you please send me a private message? Alternatively, if you know her, please let her know a friend is looking for her and feel free to give her my contact details.

Thanks so much for any leads.

Hello Chris,

Welcome to Expat.com 😀

Have you considered going back to the Chiang Mai Provincial Police Station and asking if they can help you reconnect with her? Since she worked there as a volunteer, they may be able to help.

Or, you could leave your contact details with the station and let her decide whether she would like to get in touch with you. That way, she can make the choice herself.

Good luck, and I hope you manage to find her!

Cheers,

Cheryl
