Looking for a forever home

Sharayshe

Hi,

My husband and I made the decision a couple of years ago to leave the corporate world and start living a simpler less materialistic life with less stress. We originally though Mozambique would be a good place for our new life style, but the corruption in various government departments is making this very difficult to accomplish legally. So we are now looking to find a new retirement home.

We have been to Thailand and love the country and the people so we would like to explore the option of retiring in Thailand... The main thing for us is that we do things right.

My hubby is 57 but I am 47.
we both meet the financial requirements for the retirement visa but I have a few more years to go before I meet the age requirement... what options are available to me?

thanks in advance

As far as I know, spouses of a retirement visa holder (non-immigrant visa O-A) can apply for a non-immigrant visa O (annual visa with multiple entry).

Please note that the applicant of a pension visa must now present a health insurance.

Thailand is NOT the place for a less materialistic, corruption-free lifestyle.
I recommend you look for more developed countries instead!
