Employment pass renewal issues

I got a job offer as a software engineer. Even if I got my EP I am worried about the renewal of the EP. Recently I am seeing lot of EP rejections specially in this forum. Is that case recently?

Yes unfortunately it is, mostly in middle management but I’ve seen it with senior executives and even

C-level as well. I know friends and acquaintances who have decided to leave Singapore after several years because they don’t want to live with the uncertainty or are just incredibly p*ssed off (as are their HR departments!) for having to renew every single year where previously their EP would be renewed for 2-3 years. Especially for those with kids in schools it’s not sustainable to live with this hanging over their heads. It’s a shame, Singapore didn’t use to be like this.
