Freelance/side jobs while on Employment Pass?

igroc

My company is transferring me to Singapore under an Employment Pass. While outside of Singapore, I have been doing side jobs after hours for clients online. I plan to maintain this after moving to Singapore since my services can be rendered via the internet.

Are there special rules or action needed for someone on a visa doing that (freelance/side jobs), or would I just file the extra income with my taxes like a normal person?

While holding a Singapore work pass, it is NOT AT ALL allowed to do any other paid work besides that for your Singapore employer.
Doing so can (and will) get you into big trouble (most likely immediate cancellation of your work pass, deportation and no chance of ever working here again).
So better DON'T!
