I am thinking of finding work in Singapore, but what is the best way to find work over there? Or to start a business over there? Hope you can help me out! I now live in The Netherlands, Rotterdam.
There are many job opportunities in Singapore in some industries. This forum and other websites have many discussions and tips on finding them.
Online job boards like jobsdb and jobstreet are a good way to start.
To get a work visa, you basically need a recognised university degree and some applicable work experience (3 years or more).
Although Singapore is consitently ranked as one of the best places to run a business, to start one as a foreigner is not easy. You need a proven track record, a good business plan and substantial start-up investment (not just a few tens of thousands of dollars). To get more information, you may contact incorporation service providers like Janus or Rikvin, which can help people like you get started.
I'm new in this forum but decided to join to help out foreigners and locals interested in company setup in Singapore. I am working in a company doing business incorporation and accounting. If anyone is interested in doing business in Singapore I will be glad to give you the information you need. You may message me. If you have time, we are setting up a free webinar on google hangout. you can check out facebook.com/events/1525982680959077/
