Should I choose online dating or offline dating?

I've recently encountered a very troublesome problem. I'm an entrepreneur, and I've been busy with my company for the past few years, often spending most of my time alone. Now that I'm 31, I want to make some friends (35+), but I'm rather introverted offline and afraid of encountering scammers online. What should I do?

Online dating best. WhatsApp.

Basically, which method you use to meet new people and find companions depends on your likes and needs. There is no "right" and "wrong" method, and you must be careful (to avoid scammers) in any case.

(I would especially avoid such one-liners asking to be contacted by other means, as the one by Arvind Choudhary above.)

Wow, I see. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm sure no scammer can fool me, hahaha

@Arvind Choudhary

WhatsApp contacts can only be added after you've become familiar with each other.

It's true, online dating lots of scammers.

You can try online dating, ask the details of guy, like where he work and live in usual talks, talk online for sometime, STRICTLY don't do any video call. Try asking him or her to meet once you familiar with him or her. If he or she resists, could be chances of scam, is he or she okay then green flag

Look for verified profile in online, like location and photo verified.

- and complete offline dating is fine as well, but I prefer meeting someone in person once I see if vibe is okay and person is authentic.

Yup, I completely agree with your point, but why can't we have video calls? I think this would also be an opportunity to spot scammers

@onoy73565

Some of them scam to record live  video call video, and then edit and mix it with 18+ content later to blackmail to extract money

You can have VC, once you familiar with the guy
