It actually depends on what you like to do . For me , it' mostly discovering new places to lunch at with friends and visiting parts of the island with them .

The museum is a good place to go to once in a while. I believe there is a night at the museum event on 25th August . It is a novel experience. Rather fun too. Hope this helps.

Think most of us Singaporeans find Singapore itself pretty boring and so end up going to nearby Johor Bahru during the weekends (and well, it's cheaper there too). But well, personally I'll say weekends are usually times for us to catch up with friends, get some exercise, and well, slack. Haha. Oh ya, and one thing Singaporeans like is to eat, so weekends are also the time when one can travel to those further places to check out the good food that you heard people mention or saw on TV.

Oh ya, there's this Night Festival from 24 August to 2 September. Maybe you could check that out.

I usually go out and explore new places to eat..there's a huge variety of food here- you will never run out of places to try.

I recently found a great cafe in Tiong Bahru via the Singapore Cafes FB page- facebook.com/SingaporeCafes
It's probably one of the best I've tried in recent months.

Other than that, i usually travel to nearby places like Johor Bahru.
