EP Salary MOM approval Possibility

SDP_rage

Hi Team ,

My current salary is about 8k+3 month of bonus (i.e) 118k per annum

My new employer is ready to give 11-12k per month & no bonus component (i.e) 135k per annum

My SAT salary is coming around 8.5k only

For EP , Will the MOM approve the new salary which is +3k bump to my current salary?

or they will look for per annum range between current and new employer ?

Will there be any rejection - because of the salary ?

I cannot tell you what the processing officer at MoM will assess or decide.

What is the market rate for the job?

SDP_rage

market rate is 130-150k for the job

With your insights pls update me ,

how much bump into basic salary from 8k to  min/max/avg can be the approval cader for MOM - need your insights

If your pay is within the normal market range for the job (i.e. neither over- nor underpaid) and fits your background (education and work experience), you are most likely o.k.

Of course MoM also checks whether there are suitable locals, who must be employed for such jobs first, and whether the company is allowed to hire foreigners at all for this job.

Normally higher salary = easier to get approved. And bonus is less relevant as it's not guaranteed. So don't worry.

beppi

@nelyanne That's not really true - overpaying is also seen as bad by MoM!

@beppi

yeah , but the OP said that the market range for his role is 130-150k. So 11-12k per month sounds safe.
