New in Cebu

I would just like to introduce myself, I am Mark from Essex in England. I have been here since January 16th 2013 and live in a condo in Lahug near the IT Park.

My profession is entertainment ranging from such past careers in Radio, Pop star impersonator, DJ on cruise ships and karaoke host. I spent a lengthy 8 years in Estonia suffering temperatures in the region of minus 20 in winter (A British summer) and now plus 30 which is quite a shock. I often spend nights trying to make my air conditioning go below 16 degrees.

My friend has a bar here in Liloan, not really a business just a mbit of fun and something to dwindle his savings away on. Having said that we are looking at options around the Ayala and Mango avenue areas to start a specific type of Resto/Bar (With a twist)

I know what you are thinking, 'Here's another bloke coming over here with big ideas, full deep pockets that will soon be emptied by the lure of bar ownership'. Am I right?

I maybe new here but I have over 30 years experience in the retail industry and I think I know what distinguishes a great business from a mediocre waiting to fail operation.

Anyhow, I have gone on a lot longer than intended, just really wanted to say hi and hope to see you around town sometime for a few games of 9 ball or a few beers and a sing song.
