Depends on which office you apply at! Edsa North and Cebu are the fastest!
I have gotten visa extensions 1 day at EDSA.

Ask the Philippine Embassy.

For my husband, it took 3 weeks at the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco, CA. But that was 12 years ago, and way before Covid-19 situation.

For sharing.  I got my 6 months visa extension at aura immigration office in 2 hours last October 2020.

just to be clear, you got 6 months for the time you applied or from the time of expiration?
It's better to do visa extension before it expires.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear.  You got a 6 month extension./  What was the status of yo9ur previous visa at that time?
I ask because people had been reporting they got a 4 or 5 or 6 month visa but what they actually got was a visa from when their visa had expired plus 2 months.

my friend what you do if your 3 years will come to end? as tourist? can you stay more?
my visa finish Dec 30 2020, i want today to immigration (dec-2) they gave me 6 months visa until 30 jun 2021,,,,i think the problem will be when tourist will arrive to the limit of 3 years ,what then?
My visa was also expired after 3 years. I made a short trip to Singapore and bye a single trip to Macau. By return I goth a new visa for 6 month.
