Hi...I arrived in the Philippines in October 2019 with my Philippine wife....we asked for and was granted a balikbayan privilege. I plan to return to the UK before the balikbayan expires on October 21dt this year....my question is. Am I correct in thinking I DO NOT need an exit certificate to leave the country?

I think if you are here for more than 6 months, you have to have an NBI clearance to leave.

Goto BI . For exit permit. If needed.

Also came as Balikbayan in October, 2019, left on 6/18/20, 8 months in country, no extra paperwork was required. Good luck.

Balikbayan is "vaild tvv"

that means you

so you can get ecc at airport if you stay over 6 months but less than 1 year
