marriage advice

hullo all,
i am in love with a Fillipino from gingoog city, we want to marry and stay in uganda but i want advice from other Fillipinos if Uganda would be convinient for my partner. will she ever love uganda forever and stay forever as family. because some people live only for short time and leave to go back to their country.

from any ones experience in uganda, do u think its convinient for Fillipinos?

Hi...It depends of the person you are going to marry, also if she can have lots of friends specially it is good if there are some other filipinos like her there. But generally, they are strongly attached to their families, especially female pinoys.

Ali_82 thanks alot for your advise. yes am sure she can get some Fillipino friends here but if they are strongly attached to the family does it meant she would require regular visits back home?
For her she definitely wants to settle with me in Uganda but i dont know how often she would like to visit at home since it has financial implications.

Well, again it depends on the person. If she is understanding or not, if she can have fun all the time so that she won't feel lonely or apart from her family and city. But, its likely that after a while you will hear or see that she wants to go back which is natural, so once a year or so is what you should be prepared (to send her home),
For me, I ended up living here in the Philippines after several years!!! :)

Oh! that's sounds great. This lady understands though she is still only 18yrs old. She proposes we wait until she is 21 but for me am already 26 now. I don't have any problem with that as long as she will will keep her word. I am not sure but am ready to wait in faith and see.
What about if i considered staying with her there to avoid complications in the future because most ladies are always attached to their families? is it possible to acquire a reasonable Job that can sustain us and also take care of my responsibilities back down in Uganda? Is there civilization?

she is still 18 yrs old?.yes you can have faith but as far as im concern i am a filipina too but marrying on her age please think twice and yes better to wait till her right age there are lot of time and there are lot of things will happen around 3years waiting. i can only advice you that you can love her but not too much.

thanks a lot for the advice. however, yes we agreed that we will marry at right age when she is 21yrs old. only she wants me to come over in phillipines and meet er parents in May this year. I love her right, but i need to know about phillipines and the people more before engaging in the very serious matter.
Do you think Fillipino ladies are trust worthy in love? so i can wait until that time?

yes filipina are trustworthy for love if you both are serious. but please do not involve money in your relation. you can try to visit her place,meet her parents for formality prove them you are serious and willing to be with their daughter. some people are judge mental so just open your eyes. by the way in which place in philippines?

the way she reason?.what do you mean?.she is from poor family and need some support from u?.im not against with her but if money is the bridge to communicate with her i dont agree with it.

i mean she thinks like mature person. Ok, she has never asked anything from me however I dont know if that will lead some time if maybe they expect alot of financial support. but that has never been our discussion yet. we have only been discussing on how to get together and how we want to live our life. yes, she told me she is from poor family just like my background as well but she never talked of anything like they need help. she only express how she is glad to meet with me, because she say am kind and faithful which is true.

so, that is how it is for now. what is the culture back there?

she is from southern part of the philippines and im from northern part..yes the way and the place where she was staying is a rural place not that much rich people stays there. im not too familiar in her place but i dont think that foreigner like u is safe to travel on that place. what can i advise to u is always communicate with her see if your relationship will last long coz i know long distance relationship is hard to maintain. let her finish her study  and stable job that u need to advise to her. :)

ok my friend,
i will try to do that and see her reaction. however what about her proposal that i travel to meet her parents? i will try to understand her mind in any situation and move on with the positive reactions.

really on May?.i will go for vacation on June :) Just take good care coz i think you are alone and its hard that you dont know what is real or not and its hard to trust people especially you dont know their language..

oh my friend, thanks alot that you encourage me, however, i know of one person there who has been my friend for four years. she is from Cabatuan Iloilo, but currently live in Quezon city.
I hope to get directions from her and be guided by her.

hey Ashley, some long time without chatting, thanks coming back. i would not mind any neighboring place from Marjoleth even in Dubai, at least i will try in places that can take me more closer to her, however we still stand our plan of meeting in May. And what about you? are you married already? and what are you doing with UAE, could i know your full name, my name is oyengo ambrose. sorry for the many questions but we are just getting to know each other right? :top: hahhahaha.

I spent many times on trips to Kampala over a 4 year period and it is not a fully developed country that most people from a Western type democratic will expect to enjoy living in. The Philippines is up to date modern technology with pleasant shopping malls and busy city centre areas for meeting places.
The ordinary markets are busy and prosperous  but remain tidy and not to the same condition that public market places become during the day in Uganda.
The ordinary Filipino would not want to settle in Uganda except maybe on a salary basis for employment. 
Sorry to say this but most Filipinos are apprehensive of the dark skinned Africans.

thanks peter for the advice, but however i think the apprehension depends on the personality of an individual maybe due to the past experience in life and vise versa. over the same, /!\ I AM A STUPID SPAMMER /!\ in terms of living conditions because whatever happens, we are all still the same people created by God to live in this planet world. sorry to say too but those who are apprehensive to the Africans are rigid and unprofessional because nowadays people live anywhere and there are many Africans in the western world, both handling key positions in leadership to transform the western world and promote civilization.
