I am in the process of adopting and will be in Karachi for several months.  I am looking for advice on where to stay while I am there.  The big international hotels are too expensive.  But, I am interested in a centrally located place which is secure.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may surf and find bread n breakfast places; furnished(ac/non-a/c, frig/without-frig, ironing,  washing machine facility, use of car self drive/rent a car facility, get a cell phone,  room to rent with or without utility bills/food; hostels - YMCA - get international membership, or local hostels for females private/universities.
