How to save money in Myanmar

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

Did you plan your budget before your move to Myanmar? If so, how did you go about it?

How do you save money in your day to day life? Do you find there are any areas where you can't cut costs?

Do you have any tips about saving money in Myanmar? For example, getting the best deals on accommodation, grocery shopping and dining out, the best value transportation, etc..

Are there any apps or websites that have helped you to save money?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla,

I am from Myanmar.
Food - all products are really cheap and have reasonable prices. Especially foods are so cheap to eat outside but careful street foods because some foreigners get food poison. You can get fresh fruits and vegetables from daily street markets. Try seafoods they are so fresh and so cheap compared to where I live now in UK. :)

Accommodation - I think there are many property agencies for foreigners. You can do some research. I do not that much about it.

Transportation - Public Bus Route. Or Try train.
Check out the follow links. They have the most useful information and updated news from local by English version.
